The Bahá'í Faith is a religion of unity.

Bahá'í believe that there is; One God. One Religion. One Mankind.
All religions are different facets of the one main 'religion of God'. All are worshipping the same God albeit in different ways. All mankind are members of the one human family created by God.
The founder of the Bahá'í Faith was Bahá'u'lláh who, in Iran, in 1863 made what was then very revolutionary statements including that there should be; equality of men and women, an auxiliary universal language, a world government and that religion and science should be in accord with each other. These teachings are now becoming universally accepted but he was imprisoned and exiled for his beliefs.
In 1998/1999 we celebrated the Centenary of the Bahá'í Faith in the United Kingdom.

After Christianity the Bahá'í Faith is the most widespread religion on the planet.

We are Baha'is, members of the Baha'i Faith the second most widespread of the world's independent religions. At the heart of our belief is the conviction that humanity is a single people with a common destiny. In the words of Baha'u'llah, the Founder of our Faith - "The earth is but one country, and mankind its citizens."

There has been a Baha'i Community in Kirklees for over 30 years, and in that time has grown to be the diverse and dynamic community it is today. There are a host of regular activities and events that are open to all, from the spiritually rejuvinating devotionals and enlightening study circles to the inspirational children's classes and junior youth groups.
