The Kirklees Baha'is host a wide variety of activities and events which are open to all. Out of these, three core activities are offered to the wider community; Devotionals, Study Circles and Children's Classes.
Devotionals allow participants to meditate and reflect on the sacred scriptures of the Baha'i Faith and other world Faiths. Study Circles provide the opportunity to study a particular topic with a small group of people. In Children's Classes, children are taught moral and spiritual values.

In the world-wide Baha'i community the study circle has become a popular and effective method of learning. A group of people come together to systematically study a series of courses by the Ruhi Insitute. These courses are lead by a trained facilitator and are open to all.
Participants in these courses learn, for example, to teach values to children, to engage in community service activities, to assist and empower others to independently investigate spiritual truths, to learn how to competently express one's views, and to engage oneself in serving the broader needs of society for unity, justice, and equity. The participants often experience a new sense of direction in life, better relationships with family and friends, and a fruitful re-evaluation of the contribution one can make to the wider community.
The Ruhi Course currently consists of seven books:
Book 1 - 'Reflections on the Life of the Spirit'
Book 2 - 'Arising to Serve'
Book 3 - 'Teaching Childrens Classes Grade 1'
Book 4 - 'The Twin Manifestations'
Book 5 - 'Teaching Childrens Classes Grade 2'
Book 6 - 'Teaching the Cause'
Book 7 - 'Walking Together on a Path of Service'
